Local Volunteer Receives Thanks From First Lady 

  
Hancock County Red Cross volunteer Darlene Baney received thanks from former First Lady Laura Bush for her work
on the Red Cross flood relief effort in Tennessee.

Don Badertscher received the Hancock County Red Cross Hero Award at the 2010 Annual Meeting and Volunteer Recognition Dinner

Executive Director Todd James met Miss Ohio Erica Gelhouse, at the R.E.A.D. For Life spelling bee. Support for the Red Cross is part of Erica's platform as Miss Ohio.

Students at Liberty Benton Middle Schools raised over $2,000 for Haitian earthquake relief.  Members of the Student Council presented a donation to Executive Director Todd James.

During the United Way Days of Caring, employees of the IT Department at Marathon Oil, Co. tackled a number or projects at our office, including painting, wallpapering and landscaping.

All of the volunteers received gift bags from the Grab Bag Marketeer at the end of their shift

The Hancock Leadership Alumni Association presented Nichole Coleman, our Coordinator of Service to Military Families, their Outstanding Leadership Service Award.  Nichole accepted the award from Linda DeArment.
